I love Fridays! It means the weekend is starting and I can sleep a little more, cook fun meals, and play with my family. Hope you all have a nice weekend!!

So some history on the name of this amazing day; Friday!

It is named after the Norse goddess of love and fertility. The word itself is from Old English and translates to "The day of Frigg". We all know that the slang term "frigging" can mean... well, you know. And of course the Norse goddess, often known as "Freya", would be happy a whole day was named for this activity. :)

So Happy Freya's Day! Now you know what the day is set aside for! Doesn't it seem to be even more amazing now?

Yeah, in fact most days in the week are named after norse gods for some reason. Tuesday after Tyr (old english Tiw, Old latin Tius), Wednesday after Woden (Wotan, Oden) and thursday after Thor (old english Tunor which is the basis for the word Thunder). I must say i like the old guys. Beautiful stories about them.
