I jumped in and started yapping away before introducing myself, it seems. For those of you not familiar with my long-winded musings...and even for those of you who are... this is me. 
Stephen King replaced John Steinbeck as my favorite author 28 years ago after I read a tiny book of his called It in less than a week. My first encounter with King, he was in disguise as Richard Bachman when I read Thinner, but it was easy to recognize him in It. Since then, I've read, seen, or heard nearly everything by him, except for his contributions to various periodicals. However, much of that was nearly 2 or more decades ago, so I find myself revisiting many of his earlier works while I catch up on his newer efforts. Don't get me wrong (The Pretenders - 1980, or thereabouts... as Edgar Freemantle or Jerome Wireman might say), I've read many other authors in many genres, but King is the only one that I've found worth joining a discussion board for. Now, with that said, I offer to thee and thine my most sincere and heartfelt "Howdy!"
