“I no longer have patience for certain things, not because I’ve become arrogant, but simply because I reached a point in my life where I do not want to waste more time with what displeases me or hurts me. I have no patience for cynicism, excessive criticism and demands of any nature. I lost the will to please those who do not like me, to love those who do not love me and to smile at those who do not want to smile at me. I no longer spend a single minute on those who lie or wa...nt to manipulate. I decided not to coexist anymore with pretense, hypocrisy, dishonesty and cheap praise. I do not tolerate selective erudition nor academic arrogance. I do not adjust either to popular gossiping. I hate conflict and comparisons. I believe in a world of opposites and that’s why I avoid people with rigid and inflexible personalities. In friendship I dislike the lack of loyalty and betrayal. I do not get along with those who do not know how to give a compliment or a word of encouragement. Exaggerations bore me and I have difficulty accepting those who do not like animals. And on top of everything I have no patience for anyone who does not deserve my patience.”
~ Meryl Streep

Greetings MadamM. Pleased to be a part of your Thread here.

Meryl Streep is a wonderful human being and projects a strong aura of intelligent feminin personality. Great Lady for sure.
Great words well formulated, no discussion there.

...until '...I hate...' and then complaining continues, albeit most justified but that still don't fix it! Not one suggestion or '...word of encouragement.' I say, For every problem there is a solution. First, we need more constructive and positive vibes. The Heavens guiding human nature will win over with other spirits of nature, and my assistance headquartering, to free us of all hurt and harm from war to squashing a spider to never comprehending ugliness or...hate. Nothing is ugly. Jules Verne once stated that 'Whatever the human mind can conceive of could one day become reality.' The end to: wars, crime, hate, disgust, manipualtion of communications and misunderstanding, stealing, lies, illness...the want to hurt anything or anybody PERIOD, that's it. We will accomplish it. We have actually in higher political-military ranks and working on the clean up. All that will fade away fast making more and more room for fun and fun lessons and fun with evolution and art, etc.

Then I'll really be popular...and I promise to get you a special Meryl Streep tea mug if your nice to me.

What are "I" and "You"?
Just lattices
In the niches of a lamp
Through which the One Light radiates.

"I" and "You" are the veil
Between heaven and earth;
Lift this veil and you will see
How all sects and religions are one.

Lift this veil and you will ask
When "I" and "You" do not exist
What is mosque?
What is synagogue?
What is fire temple?

ABSINTHIA TAETRA
by Ernest Dowson

GREEN changed to white, emerald to an opal: nothing was changed.

The man let the water trickle gently into his glass, and as the green clouded, a mist fell from his mind.

Then he drank opaline.

Memories and terrors beset him. The past tore after him like a panther and through the blackness of the present he saw the luminous tiger eyes of the things to be.

But he drank opaline.

And that obscure night of the soul, and the valley of humiliation, through which he stumbled were forgotten. He saw blue vistas of undiscovered countries, high prospects and a quiet, caressing sea. The past shed its perfume over him, to-day held his hand as it were a little child, and to-morrow shone like a white star: nothing was changed.

He drank opaline.

The man had known the obscure night of the soul, and lay even now in the valley of humiliation; and the tiger menace of the things to be was red in the skies. But for a little while he had forgotten.

Green changed to white, emerald to an opal: nothing was changed.
