A favorite character: I also like Flagg from The Stand and Eyes, But that's just going with the antagonist.
I'm from Derry, so I obviously identify with the Derry characters.
My favorite character is Daniel Torrence as he is depicted in Dr. sleep.
Welcome to the SKMB!
So you are from Bangor? (or are you on 'another level of the Tower' so to speak?) - if you do not mind me asking :abnormal::congratulatory::grinning:

Derry, NH.
It is the same town. The landmarks are the same (Mcallister Park-McGregor park) The library, the town is is a few hours South of Bangor.

Joe Hill writes about Derry, NH. Stephen chooses a fictional (ish) setting for his stories, but they are an amalgamation of his own stomping grounds and ones nearby. He had to worry about litigation at one point, so he took Bangor and a few other places - plunked the setting in my town..Derry.

It's not entirely about litigation. If you make up your own town even if you use landmarks from an actual location as part of the fictional town's, nobody can call you out for "mistakes" about the geography. :smile2:

favorite? i'm never good at choosing just one when someone puts forth a question of favorite anything lol. it's kind of a tight race between ben, bill and richie. but i like all the losers, even if eddie and stan are a bit too fussy.

and somehow my brain just made the interesting connection that the two fussiest/worrywart members of the losers club are the ones that ended up dying. after reading this like 20 times. not sure if it means anything, but 20 times later, still making new connections

don't read the above if you haven't finished the book. seriously.

Ben, both as child and as adult. Bill is my next favorite. Richie is damn annoying.
Really? Richie is so vulnerable and insecure...even as an adult. He's basically the exact same character as Big Bill, but will only a small portion of Bill's innate courage. So he compensates with humor. I can't help but pity him, and commiserate too.
