I am casting my vote(s) for The Shining and The Dead Zone, two of King's very best.
Salem's Lot and The Dead Zone.
wooo, wee! looks like a big turn-out at the polls! The Stand...and The Long Walk...or wait now...we can vote for more than one...so.
The Shining - The first one I read (way back - fairly soon after release. I remember I bought the silver cover paperback and I think that was the first paperback version) and still my favorite.
The Stand and Salem's Lot
The Long Walk and Rage, not most peoples choice especially since I seem to be the first for Rage, but they haunted me for ages after reading them.

Still have not read this one yet (Rage) - it is in my "The Bachman Books" book - perhaps some day I will read it but Hearts in Atlantis - the college story - is what I am reading now.
I voted for The Stand: cut edition, but I'm not so sure now. The cut version might not have been as enthralling
When I got the new version, the original just didn't seem complete. I gave mine away.

Night Shift and The Long Walk for me! Does anyone think that Frank Darabont will ever get his version of the Long Walk onscreen? Rumors for years and he would be perfect to do it but alas....nothing.
My favorite SK era! Definitely 'The Shining' with 'Salem's Lot' VERY close behind.
