One time, long ago (24 years!!!), we went to a "surprise opening" of a movie. Didn't even know what the movie was. I forget what the hook was.

It was Home Alone. I went in, ready to be affronted by whatever tripe was thrown at us, and Grandma and I (this was pre-grandchildren, though) ended up dissolving in laughter. What an unexpected treat it turned out to be.

It's A Wonderful Life. Yay, I said it first!

My mom tries EVERY year to convince me to watch this, because I've never seen it! :a11:

I have never seen it either.
Me either. I know, I know ... (I've also never seen A Miracle on 34th Street.) I wanted to watch it tonight, but Netflix doesn't have it available for streaming. Amazon does ... for $7. I'm thinking that when I can get the collector's edition DVD for $10, I'm not gonna pay $7 to stream it. Call me Ebenezer, I guess.

Fave Christmas movies in no particular order:
The 1951 version of A Christmas Carol (though I haven't seen it in forever)
Elf
Love Actually
Scrooged
A Christmas Story
Polar Express
