I like Bull Durham a lot, and if I had to quote a particular scene, I'd be offering the whole movie in chewable chunks.

But at one point in my life, I had Crash's soliloquy kinda encapsulated. The one that starts, "I believe in the soul." I was at a Guys Gathering one night, and we were talking about such things, and I said I pretty well knew the speech, and they didn't believe me, so I delivered it, little knowing that one of our merry band had placed a camera with a video function on the counter as I started. Yup, all on video. No, you don't get to see it.

So Grandma and I are watching the Bull Durham DVD one night, and we're watching the track that has the Costner/Robbins commentary. When it goes to that scene, Costner (I think) says that there are people out there who can actually recite that speech.

Next to me, Grandma growled, "Yeah. And my husband's one of them."
