So, what are everyone's favorite video games / consoles?

Here are mine:

As a SwiftPup we had a ColecoVision with the Atari adapter that allowed you to play all the Atari 2600 games. This was the early 80's. My favorite ColecoVision game was probably Zaxxon. Favorite Atari 2600 game was probably Pitfall. Worst game (and movie) ever? E.T. :flat:

Moved up to the NES in 1986. So many great games on that system. Favorite was probably the first Legend of Zelda.

Next systems were the TurboGrafix16 and Sega Genesis. Favorite TurboGrafx game was Splatterhouse. Sega had a ton of great games. Always liked the Joe Montana Football and the EA Sports NHL Hockey games.

After that, moved to a PlayStation2. Favorite games on there were The Thing and the whole GTA series.

Currently have an Xbox 360. Favorite game on that was probably Red Dead Redemption.

Played some great PC based games as well. Favorites there are the LucasArts Dark Forces Star Wars games, another LucasArts game called Outlaws (killer spaghetti-westernesque sound track to that one) and an awesome horror game called Nocturne.

Favorite system ever is probably the NES. Probably the Nostalgia talking, though ;;D

Most impressive system I've seen so far is the PS4. Might have to pick one up soon.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is my favorite. It was the most fun I had playing a game for sure. The time travel and game play were superb.

For the more current gen, I really like Red Dead Redemption. It was as close to perfect as a video game gets.

The Final Fantasy Series are my favorites...with much love to FF7, FF12, FF10, and FF8 (probably in that order)

I miss the old Sierra Games for PC...My favorites there were the Leisure Suit Larry series, the Space Quest series, and the Quest For Glory series....although my alltime favorite PC Game is Rama from Sierra Games which is based on Arthur C. Clarke's Rendezvous With Rama...the 1997 game is AMAZING!

I currently play several MMOs when time permits, including EVE Online, Aion, Aura Kingdom, and an awesome browser game called Core Exiles

I have had gaming consoles all my life. I grew up in the 80s so I have had most of them, although I started with an Amstrad cpc464, my favourite games on that where Wonderboy, Paperboy, and How To Be A Complete B*stard. Consoles I had and my favourite games on them are:

Atari 2600 - Crystal Castles, Karate, Rampage. There is one other, but I can't quite remember it.
Sega Master System - California Games, Shinobi, double dragon
NES - Life Force, Super Mario Brothers
Sega Mega Drive (Genesis in the US) - Cool Spot, Road Rash 3, Columns, Moonwalker, World Cup Italia '90
SNES - Super Mario World, Super Bomber Man, Uniracers
Panasonic 3DO - Killing Time, Need For Speed
PlayStation - Mortal Kombat, Fifa 98, Micro Machines, Tomb Raider, Theme Park
Sega Dreamcast - Mr Bones

The PS1 to PS2 was the big jump for me, when games got massive. My favourite PS2 game is GTA: San Andreas. I loved the whole GTA franchise on PS2 but San Andreas was the best by miles. PS2 also saw my 2 favourite Need For Speed games - Carbon and Most Wanted. It's also when I switched from FIFA to Pro Evolution Soccer. I still have one with a load of games - those mentioned and about 5 Tony Hawk Pro Skater games.

PS3. My favourite PS3 game by a mile is The Last Of Us. There have been other amazing games such as the Uncharted series, God Of War 3, the Assassin's Creed 2 trilogy, GTA V and my 2nd favourite - Red Dead Redemption.

I can't choose a favourite game overall - San Andreas and The Last Of Us are tied for me.

...I like military and zombie first person shooters....I blow at playing well, but still have fun...
I got into CoD a little bit from CoD 4 to Modern Warfare3, didn't care for black ops though and I never bothered with the zombies. I played Undead Nightmare (red dead redemption zombie add on) but it got a bit boring.

I love the Uncharted games. I have a little crush on Drake. Sexiest voice ever.

The Last of Us is great, really enjoy Oblivion and Skyrim too.

We got the kids a PS4 as a combined birthday present this year, their b-days are all very close together. Still working my way through The Evil Within and also Wolfenstein The New Order on the new console.

I shy away from the games that can be played with other people, I like my own pace. I am not hard core enough to play with other people, I like to make my blunders and die (repeatedly, in some cases) in private. :)

I remember we had an Atari when I was about 3 and then when I was around 10 we got a NES. It game with Super Mario and Duck Hunt. Played the heck outta those 2. My next console was the Sega and I got Mortal Kombat when it first came out. I loved that game. After that I discovered drugs and we played a lot of games stoned out of our minds. I recall Street Fighter on the Super Ninetendo. When I got married we got a N64. We played the Zelda games a lot and a game called Diddy Kong Racing. I have a Wii and a Xbox 360. I traded in my PS3 last month for a new PS4. Gamestop had a great trade in deal so I took advantage. The only game I have is Mortal Kombat X and it is a blast.

I had a love/hate relationship with that game. I like racing games but the controls are so sensitive to turns!

I absolutely HATED the Star Wars Pod Racing game - not sure if it was N64 or Gamecube but that game would peeve me off! I played a lot of these games because I raised 2 boys on my own. I learned that I was much better with Madden NFL because we could all play on the same team, I loved to be the linebacker and sack the QB!

...I enjoy those, and am fascinated by the graphics-I just have to play on the dumbest of dumb player settings...if they had an "idiot" mode it would be fitting....
