I'm not sure about the timing but
wasn't there a plane passenger who came home from a flight only to become zombie food? If so, maybe the plane didn't crash? But then again, why wouldn't he be on his guard having just survived an attack of the undead in the air? Maybe he was in denial. Or from another flight. Guess we'll see.

Good catch. Could very well be.

I just wonder if we're ever going to find out how this whole thing started.

I hope not. It's more realistic that way :) I wasn't planning on buying the second season, but The Man decided he needed SOMETHING to get him through at least a few WD-less months :D So I guess we're all on the boat this weekend (or Monday, in my case)!

I'm a stickler for
continuity errors. At one point, Junkie Depp is sitting on the deck (and back of the boat) with his white tee shirt wrapped around his head. In the next shot, he's wearing his tee shirt. And then, when he goes to talk to Strand on the steering-wheel deck (whatever it's called), he's putting his shirt on.

I like the propeller death in the first few minutes. It's a great way to start an episode. But this whole "zombies at sea" gimmick is going to get old, fast. The floater inside the bullet-boat was good, but the rest of them are just... floating. I mean... how hard is it to out-swim a creature with stilted motor skills, at best?
And
Who besides me wants to clock Alicia (is it?) for telling some stranger about their boat on the radio? What a bleeping IDIOT!
This season has potential, if it doesn't become a parody of itself.

I only hope we see kinfe-at-school-boy again.

Those bother me, too. Mine was that
some of the Zs were actively kicking when Greaseball Boy swam by. Random movements: great. Focused activity: not so much. My husband said the boat going the wrong way was driving him nuts--lol. The sn and the land were on the wrong sides of the boat apparently. I have no sense of direction, so I didn't even notice.

Blondie (still can't remember her name) is the Andrea of this show. I know they want us to like her, but I mostly want to shove her and her useless husband over the side of the boat.

I've never cared for her. They've tried from the start to force her down our throats as a badass, and it isn't very tasty. They should let a character's strength evolve. Like Carol's. I'll be glad when blondie bites it. The only two I really want to see get through to the end are
Junkie Depp and knife-at-school-boy.
Everybody else can go.

I like Greaseball Boy, too, more for the actor than for the role. I also like Ruben Blades, but I like him in everything. Meh at best about everyone else. They really need to up their likability or no one will care if they die.

Exactly. And that's where the drama comes from. We're supposed to care what happens to these people. Otherwise, what's the point?

TOBIAS! Thank you! I couldn't think of his name to save my life.
Yes. Him. He knew what was up before anybody else. I'd like to think he had an edge, mentally. I'd like to see him grow into his strengths. Kind of like Neville Longbottom in Harry Potter. He started out a timid little lump of mush, then ended up taking out Nagini.

Tobias reminds me of him. It'll be a major disappointment if they don't take advantage of such great potential. In TWD, they did a good job of coming back to just about everybody. I hope they do the same with Tobias.

You know, when I was a kid, small like these little ones,I had nightmares about the flying monkeys that were on The Wizard of Oz..seems small and it is,but still, even though I am sure precautions are taken to talk to these child actors, can't they be affected at least to some small degree by the horror they are being subjected to during filming? I understand, gotta be realistic and all,but geez..

I haven't watched tonight's show yet, but I remember Sophia from TWD saying that the people in costumes scared her a lot at first. To help, the show runners/producers had the zombie actors spend time with her in costume, just being people. She said it helped a lot to laugh with them
