Travis
finally, finally stepped up to the plate and started pounding on those guys on the dock in order to make the way to escape..... he's always convincingly played rough-necks before and it was about time he unleashed his inner hard-ass on somebody....

Mamacita es muy loco.

I'm getting really, really
sick of Madison. On The Talking Dead, they said that she wants to be the Rick Grimes of FTWD. They're even comparing her to him by saying that in this episode, she was swinging around a machete, Rick's weapon of choice.

I can't STAND them shoving her down our throats as a badass.

Can we kill her off now please? PLEASE?

I also think that
Nick's physical cleanliness is mirroring his "getting clean" from drugs. I think that's why he was in creepy dead old guy's clothes for so long, and why his hair was still askew and unkempt. He'll forever be an addict, but I think it's been awhile since he actively looked for drugs to abuse.

He kinda eyeballed that wine bottle, though, didn't he? Didn't drink any, though.

I also think that his (semi) flirting with mamacita was very intentional, as she was (semi) flirting with him. He was being what she wanted him to be. A pretty, hungry little boy that begged her to feed him, which she did. Working his way inside her defenses. He's the Carol of FTWD. Savvy and chameleon. I like him more and more as a survivor.

Once again, an episode gets to the edge being sort of compelling...and then drops the ball. Again. Why oh why won't they just kill everyone but Old Man Pants and Daniel (and maybe Not-Tyrese--I kind of like him) and start again with a stronger story? Braver writers? Something to make this show memorable? Pretty Girl, Blonde Mom, Murder Boy, and Useless Guy should go. The jury is still out on Clueless Daughter (Daniel's).

I just saw 'mamacita' on an episode of the short-lived tv series version of Blade... she didn't last the episode before being killed off...... she played the human familiar madam of a vampire brothel ....

Just thought of this. If the FTWD group is forced to leave the Mexican compound, they can work their way north and east, can't they? Maybe head toward the CDC to find out what's going on?

Could. If ratings don't improve, they could wrap up that way at the end of this season. Didn't they say one person would be going to TWD? Can't remember for sure if I read that somewhere.

Kinda disappointed in Nick. I
thought that he was playing Mamacita. I didn't think he was really buying into her BS. And I never thought he'd walk out on his mom. The only redeeming reason I can see him staying behind is to look after Travis. If he really just flaked out after the estate fried, maybe he really doesn't have what it takes to make Alexandria.

I actually fell asleep on the season finale. Just seems to be lackluster. I care about none of the characters. That is not good.

Okay, I think it's time to write this one off as a misguided purchase. Couldn't care less about any of them, especially as the two I liked even a little bit were sabotaged by bad writing--neither story arc made any sense in the last episode. I'm done.

I agree about the writing. No WAY would those characters have done that. Any of it. But I don't blame the characters for the writing. Except blonde mom. I DO blame the writers for trying too hard to force her down our throats at a badass.

I thought Daniel went off the deep end way too fast. He was the rock of the group and he just suddenly went wacko. I thought that was forced.

Exactly.
He goes his whole life, his traumatic past, the end of the world and the death of his wife, travels to Mexico and loses his sh*t NOW? Makes no sense.
