I thought the first season was good, started to think maybe it's a lot better than The Walking Dead that totally changed quickly by the second season. The third season it started to get a little better but not like The Walking Dead better. Found it really hard to care about the characters, Nick was ok enough to sorta care about. Madison she has evolved into something else. Some of the other characters I'm like why are they even still around. I like the last episode of season three though, not feeling anticipation for season 4.

I think in my humble opinion -That they need to bring in some new writers...Please have mercy and let Madison get eaten by a walker soon.

Finally watching season 3, since I heard it was miles better than season 2 (it is), and it's finally on Hulu. Good lord, can't a zombie PLEASE eat Blond Mom? I've loathed her since the first season, and she's just gotten worse. She's the Andrea of this show. I'm about halfway through the season--trying to watch an ep every other night, at least. Bringing back some characters that were presumed dead was a cheat, but they needed it--those are the only vaguely likable characters on the show!

I actually like the start of season 4. There's already a survival at all cost premise which is how it should be for a zombie tv show. And there are zombies, you see them not like backdrop zombies.

The crossover character is Morgan ;-D.

Same here, since it's recently turned up on Amazon Prime Video.
I didn't actually mind most of S2, but then I watched it on a binge. As with TWD, I imagine it would have grated had I watched it as broadcast (and that's how audience data is gathered, so it behooves the producers to focus on one-ep-per-week pacing rather than 'it's best viewed as a set'.
But yeah, I wanted Madison to get liberally chewed by zed since the pilot (on the back of which, I almost didn't bother watching any more). The rest of the family is, or has become, generally tolerable though not to the point where they can't go and be zombie chow. It's as you (kind of) say, though, the best, most likeable characters on the show are those that have been introduced.

I am not sure about how the show is going to go since they killed Nick. I guess the actor wanted to get off the show.

They should have offed that character in season 1 along with Madison. Haven't really watched the show regularly since season 1 and the first two episodes of season 2. Did catch the premier of this season. I find this spinoff more annoying than entertaining. Just don't like the characters.

Nick is the best character on the show and he dies, not good...really annoying. Morgan is now the best character, the others I don't care for too much. Why? They might as well just call this the last season for FTWD and call it a day, but they'll probably just drag it on for a couple more seasons until they run out of steam like TWD has gotten lately and repeat certain storylines a few times. The first episode was promising now it's already nosedived. :ambivalence: The one bright spot is they are focusing on the zombies more at least, but they seem like they don't really fear the walking dead as much as they've grown accustomed to them. Not sure who makes these character judgement calls but if you still want viewers to watch don't get rid of one of your best characters so fast. Needs more likeable characters to keep tuning in.
