Okay......so while discussing Wayward Pines, someone suggested that I really need to see Twin Peaks.
Over the weekend, I've binge watched the first 20 episodes......

Is everyone in the town batsh!t crazy?????[/QUOTE]
YES!!! But aren't they really just the most interesting characters you've ever seen on TV? Lynch really changed the face of TV with this series. Did you figure out who the 'killer' was before it was revealed?

(The log is normal. The lady carrying it? Not so much.)

(I haven't watched the movie.)

(If you have the time Ha! check out the first episode of The Whispers. You may like it you may not.)

I really couldn't tear myself away from it......finished the series tonight......often felt like I was going crazy along with the town.

Yep, I knew who the 'real killer' was when I saw Sara's vision.....and knew the 'sub killer' when his hair turned white, and he started singing showtunes.....

Sometimes, I thought that the log was the most normal thing in the town.....HAHA!

I'm not sure that Netflix has The Whispers.....I'll look. I think it airs on a pay channel, and I don't have those.

You mean there's MORE!!??.....I gotta see if Netflix has it
Just a heads up: the movie is really very dark and depressing. Cooper is only in it for about 5 minutes or so. When Lynch shot it, he ended up with an over-4-hour-long movie, which he screened at Cannes. He cut out almost two hours worth of footage, which is pretty much all of the comedic elements that were in the original film. If you are intrigued enough the deleted scenes are in the bluray edition of the series, but they are not included back into the film, they are on a seperate disc. It's almost like seeing an entire other film! Oh, by the way: 'How's Annie? How's Annie? How's Annie?' ;;D

I hated the movie. You can skip it. It doesn't add much to the story anyways. I think you can go straight to Showtime's airing of the show without watching the movie.

It actually does add to the story and it also ties up alot of loose ends. There's more to it than what you see upon the first viewing.

I'm sure there is. It's just that it was repetitive, the story was drag and had a completely different vibe from the show. None of the good stuff from the show was there, like the quirky charm. I just couldn't get into it. Halfway through, I was looking at the clock. I loved Mulholland Drive and Twin Peaks, but this movie was a miss for me.

Oh, I'll watch it if I can.....Once I start something, I have to finish it.

No go with Netflix......now, I'll search the internet for it. Sometimes, I've been able to find movies that can be viewed for free.....

It (FWWM) sure does make a strong anti-drug statement, tho. ;-D

At KRF's personal reccomendation, I just bought TP:TEMPTMP (Wow, that's a bad acronym). I've only seen the first couple of episodes (and enjoyed them), so KRF, if it's crap, I demand a refund. ;;D

And of course, it came 'wrapped in plastic'.

You can try to get a refund at the store that you bought it from, drongo. Ha! You won't want a refund, you'll want to watch it over and over and over again. One of my favorite lines in the show: 'She's dead. Wrapped in plastic.' and delivered by Jack Nance in the way only he could deliver a line. RIP Jack. :flat:

Okay, I watched the Pilot, Episode 1, and Episode 2.

Spoiler-Free Thoughts:
- That dream sequence is ****ing brilliant. "Let's rock" indeed.
- Special Agent Dale Cooper is on the road to being my favourite TV character. his very presence makes me smile.
- That
rock throwing
investigation technique is/was ingenious.

Lovin' it so far, I look forward to watching more.
