Guess this will keep my son in Edmonton busy - he goes up there with Intact Insurance to look into claims.
My family member who is living with me on days off and whose place burnt down, rented a place up there for when he works.....it is in the flood area.
Those poor people! This will be a year they'll be happy to be over. I hope things start improving for them soon.

Where was the rain when needed to put out the fires? Time for the weather to even out and let the folks get back on track with their lives.
My first thought was that the rain would be beneficial...it will wash away some of the toxic cr@p. (If my husband were scheduled to go there this summer I would have done everything possible to get him to change his plans. With his pre-existing condition I think it would be hazardous to him.)
But this has gone beyond cleaning, and will probably polute their water supply (or is it safe yet anyway?)
