If one likes rabbit (and squirrel), I'm not quite sure of the objection to wings.

Chicken wings aren't eaten for the chicken meat. They're eaten for the sauce on the skin, and the skin. The meat is an accent. But whether it's chicken (or turkey) wings or neck or rabbit or squirrel, if your goal is meat, you're gonna be workin' to get to it.
First off, TWSS!!! ;;D

Secondly, add crablegs, blue crabs, crawfish, etc. to this list. But I love them and chicken wings, so work, I shall!:cool2:

As for squirrel, never really liked that long tailed rat at all. Meat tastes too gamey for me.

I don't really like wild meats. I've had moose a few times. Cooked properly I can at least eat it. But do not just cook up some ground moose as a beef burger. Not OK.

Rabbit, I've only ever had in tourtière, which is best made with more than one meat. The best mixture being rabbit, chicken and pork.

Learning to eat more deer as we are covered up with them now. They eat anything they can find from cash crops to azaleas. Got to add lots of spices and even beef or pork fat to it to make it edible. Put ground deer into spaghetti or chili and it is not too bad. Hard to eat, as you say, in just a burger patty without fooling your taste buds.

Also when it comes to deer the younger the animal the less gamey taste.

OK don't worry people I wait until the spots are gone before harvest.

Ok, here's the one item I can think of that everyone loves but I don't. I will eat wings (and pretty much only the "drumstick-looking" part) but I don't go crazy for them like others do. And now that leads me to another similar food I don't love: fried chicken. Again, I will eat it but I am not in a frenzy over it when it's on a menu like many others are.

A good way to eat deer is barbeque. Stick a deer loin in the crockpot covered up with a bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce for about 8 hours till it falls apart. It's amazing!

My husband and I tried grouse when we were in Scotland a few years ago and didn't like it much (we did love haggis though). But this is a thread about foods "everyone seems to love." If we are sticking with that, there's nothing I can think of.
How is your baking coming along lately?

Today I am thinking of making a recipe from my 150 Delicious Squares cookbook - probably something using graham wafer squares

Neesy my other arteries began hardening just reading the recipe.

Looks like this would be great if you just added a little more butter???

Horseradish - does everyone love this?

I'm making a plate of spaghetti with sauce and notice I had horseradish cheese in the fridge - grated some over - whooo! Nice taste to it :chew:
Sorry Neesy I draw the line at eating horses!!

Even if mixed with radish.

Unless at McDonalds in my before cardiac event life.

Just like cookies - If you make a batch and it uses an entire cup of butter you have to figure it out like this:

16 tablespoons equal one cup - so since 1 tablespoon also equals 3 teaspoons and a normal batch of cookies makes about 48, you're not getting all that much butter. (Maybe 1 tsp per cookie?)

Now if you sat down and ate a dozen - well.... :add::m_pan:

OK I would eat a dozen. So there is that...

And if I ate them on a train leaving Chicago at 70 MPH going east and met a car doing 65 MPH going west at 2 PM...

Why did you turn that into a word problem?

Now I am really confused...

And hungry...

I can't do math - well, not very well, at least

But I know how to bake - it just blew me away once when I guy was amazed that his wife had put an entire cup of butter in a batch of cookies at Christmas, so I guess I was trying to figure out what the big deal was

Oh not a big deal at all. I can cook, mentioned in another post, and have tons of recipes from grandparents stashed everywhere in kitchen. Just kidding about the butter. Since my heart vaca I have begun reading all the ingredients very thoroughly.

Way I was raised if it doesn't have butter or is not fried then ain't worth eating. Looks like a great no bake recipe.

Again hungry.

Wonder what fried butterscotch cookie would taste like?
