What I heard was only one person speaking for another..........and boldly, I might add.
Apparently, he's forgotten that I know people.....backwoods mountain people........;;D
Hey, don't make me start all the redneck/hillbilly jokes.

Not a joke though, real story. We were driving back home on Saturday and close to SC/NC border we saw a rusty pickup truck going 70+mph on I-95 with a guy sitting in the bed of the truck and waving to everybody.

You forget I’m Appalachia mountains people, myself. I was even shot at once by a big grisly mountain man, with overalls and no shirt and a shotgun, while my brother and myself were whitewater canoeing. And never once did we hear the sound of banjoes to warn us. :)

You make that sound like it's a strange sight. :umm: I've done that many a time, but not on I-95.

Been living in the U.S. for almost 22 years and never saw anything like that outside of redneck joke memes.
Common sight here when I was young... going up through the fields to reach spots the police couldn't get to... for our weekend beer parties.
th

I even fell off once sitting like the guy with the green shirt in the picture. Luckily we were only going about 20 MPH... but still hurt like he!!.

How do you pronounce the word Appalachia?......there's a right way and a wrong way......and we shoot people who get it wrong!

And miss watching people move a mattress on top of a small sedan while holding it down with their hands doing 50mph on a highway!? No way.
Another common sight here, although the people around here don't usually bother to hold them down with their hands. They just tie them in the middle, and let them bend in half flopping away. Yesterday I passed an old Honda Civic on the highway with 4 monster tires tied to the roof with rope. Two tires on top of each other were higher than the car.
