Did you see the unveiling of the new Tom Brady wax figure?

His nose looks bent out of shape... which I guess is rather fitting. :p

A wax Tom Brady is still better than 75% of the QBs in the NFL......

I'll take him. I think he would fit nicely with their offense.

Matt Moore will do fine in short stretches but he really is more suited to a backup role and spot starter.
With a large population of Cuban anti-Castro exiles in Miami acquiring Kaepernick, with his support for Castro, would be problematic. Jay Cutler, Robert Griffin III, Brock Osweiler from the Browns will probably get the call. And the Patriots would never trade Jimmy Garoppolo to a division rival.

Compared to all of the domestic violence and sexual assault issues that some of the NFL players have, I don't consider Colin Kaepernick speaking out to be so bad. Sure, some of his viewpoints are a problem but is it really that bad compared to some of the other things that just slide by in the NFL?

The answer comes down to the effect of the decision on ticket sales and viewership.

....and those QB's are just as lame, but without being injured....

True. Sad thing is he's got talent but no clue how to be a professional and separate work / life.
....exactly!!....I don't give a flying frick at a rolling donut what yer political views are-take care off that stuff off the field and leave your soap box in the locker room....then shut the hell up and come and sling the ball.....you get paid obscenely well to do that, NOT pontificate....

Agreed. His speaking out is not the problem. He's entitled to his beliefs. His making himself the center of the attention takes away from the game and alienates his team. That's the problem.

Well, Quincy Enunwa, the NY Jets No 1 (and only decent WR left on the team after they parted ways with Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker) is out with a season-ending neck injury. And there aren’t any decent free agents WR’s out there. It just keeps getting better every day. :facepalm_smiley:

And the Dolphins picked up a QB that I'm not sure wants to play football anymore. ;-D

Political statements by sports figures don't bother me at all. It does bother me a bit when they have to make a big show of it, like, "HEY! LOOK AT ME! I'M MAKING A POLITICAL STATEMENT! I'M BEING CONTROVERSIAL!"

But even that's not such a big deal for me as long as they can get the job done.

In Kaepernick's case, it doesn't appear he can. While I agree that his transgressions, if any, are far less than some of his actually felonious colleagues who are still in the game, I don't want to allow him leverage of artificially elevating his low worth simply by political grandstanding and then breastbeating about how he's repressed.
