Somewhere over the rainbow
:frown-new:
I have got a thing for slot-receivers; guys like Jules.
Edelman, who's one of Brady's most essential tools,
Tore his ACL in Friday night's pre-season game.
Out before I even wore my jersey with his name.

It is a replacement for the one I have for Wes.
Welker left because he angered Belichick, I guess.
Up until I got their jerseys, both those men were fine...
Maybe I should not buy jerseys? Could this be a sign?

Even without Edelman, New England's looking good.
If nobody else gets injured I believe we should
Make it to another Super Bowl... But this I swear;
I'll be much more careful of whose jersey that I wear.

Broncos are 3-0 preseason. :applause:

I have not seen one second of play, so I don't know whether to believe in that or not. I was happy Siemian got the nod as QB. I like him and think he will grow into a fine quarterback.

It's going to depend on whether they've shored up the offensive line to give the QB and RB a little room, and plugged up the D-line to stop the run. The rest, I think they had covered pretty well, good enough. Well, the QB himself will be a mystery quantity from game to game. That's always worrisome.

This year's NFL preseason is a joke and a waste of time. First stringers barely even try because they know they've made the team. A little evaluation for some spots between two players, and a whole bunch of people who will never make it on the squad or we will basically never see play much in the regular season. If this what the future of preseason is going to be, I won't be watching preseason much anymore.

Florida State's defense has been looking pretty stout tonight, but special teams and Alabama's defense have helped turn the, ahem, tide as the game has gone on. Alabama's offense has more less just been on the field to occupy space and to kill clock. They're lucky Florida State has been making so many mistakes.

Up 24-7 with six minutes to go in the game, I'm still a little nervous. A lot can happen in six minutes. Hopefully, the Tide won't let this one get away.

The good news is the Jets are undefeated so far this season in the AFC East. The bad news is so is everyone else and the Patriots have already clinched the division.

The quest for 0-16 starts this weekend. Oh, joy. :(
...and I understand the Warden has granted a work release so the rest of my Bengals can suit up this weekend....

LOL. Still have a hard time not thinking you as a Browns fan. Your posts were hilarious then. The Browns game might be the Jets only W this season.

I got home with about 8 minutes to go in the NE/KC game left. Watched the end. Happy times! I'm going to keep on touting the Patriots run to another Super Bowl. Hopefully my counter mojo keeps working. :)

Boo hiss Dio...lol. My fiancée is a Steelers fanatic and actually gave me a ten second countdown last night when the Pats lost at the end of the 4th quarter. The hazing started immediately and has continued via texts today while she and I are at work...lol Her quote "The only thing better than a Steelers win is a Patriots loss." I have to admit I enjoy it though. She knows the ins and outs of football better than any girl I've ever known...lol

....I just couldn't handle the ineptness any more....a part of me will always love the Browns-but I chose to consolidate my sports teams to the Southwestern portion of Ohio....

The last time the Chiefs routed the Patriots, well, we all know what happened - CBSSports.com

"The 2014 New England Patriots started the 2014 season 2-2, including an embarrassing loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in primetime by the score of 41-14. After that game, the football world lost its collective mind with people asking if Tom Brady was washed up. After the game, Bill Belichick said four words that should have chilled Bengals fans to their core: "We're on to Cincinnati." When the Patriots move on, they move on, in that case to the tune of a 41-17 drubbing of the Bengals at Gillette Stadium the next week. The Patriots would then go 10-2 over the course of the rest of the reason, and then went on to win the Super Bowl."
