Jets lose to the Patriots by one touchdown. Refs rob Jets of touchdown with worst officiating call I've ever seen... Replay nonetheless. All things normal.

It amazes me from week to week how much parody there is in the NFL. A team that looks atrocious one week comes back the next week and knocks off a team they have no business beating. The competition level in the NFL is pretty good from week to week.I'm taking the Broncos to small claims court. I want the last two hours of my life back.
I'm a Pats fan and I still don't get that call where they took away the touchdown from the Jets....that just seemed to be a bad call all the way around.Jets lose to the Patriots by one touchdown. Agreed. He regained control of the ball before he hit the pylon. Regardless, that there remains any contention regarding when he regained control of the ball, there was not conclusive evidence to overturn the call made on the field. To just take away the touchdown from the Jets and hand the ball over to the Patriots was a travesty to the sport. Come on refs... it was the Patriots and Jets. The Patriots would have found their own way to win, anyway.I'm a Pats fan and I still don't get that call where they took away the touchdown from the Jets....that just seemed to be a bad call all the way around.
THAT'S what got me. The call on the field was a TD. In no way did I see enough evidence to reverse the call like they did. The win left a bad taste. I also hated what happened to Aaron Rodgers yesterday. I'm not a Packers fan but I recognize and appreciate how amazingly talented he is and I hated to see him take that hard of a hit on his throwing shoulder and most likely have his season come to an end.Agreed. Do we now eliminate the term 'bobbled the ball' from football and call it a 'fumble?'THAT'S what got me. The call on the field was a TD. LMAO, yeah I think Kaepernick would jump or maybe "kneel" at the chance to play for anyone right now...lolDo we now eliminate the term 'bobbled the ball' from football and call it a 'fumble?'
Yeah, Rodgers injury was bad, although it didn't look to be such a hard hit. But it won't be the Packers we have come to know without him for the rest of the season. But the scheduling gods have given the Packers a pretty soft schedule for the next few weeks and I hear Colin Kaepernick is available.
Since he is now suing both the NFL and the players union, his best bet for playing football in the future might lie in Canada.LMAO, yeah I think Kaepernick would jump or maybe "kneel" at the chance to play for anyone right now...lol
If he has any collegiate eligibility left, send him this way, the Razorbacks could use him for sure...lolSince he is now suing both the NFL and the players union, his best bet for playing football in the future might lie in Canada.
No, it wasn’t legit. If you watch the video replay in the article below you will see he regained control of the ball BEFORE hitting the pylon... and maintained possession into the end zone. There certainly wasn’t enough evidence to overturn the touchdown call on the field.I'm a Pats fan and was confounded by that fumble call too. Never seen a call like that but apparently, it was legit.
No kidding! I didn't see much of the game but the bye week sure did not do them any favors!I'm taking the Broncos to small claims court. I want the last two hours of my life back.

The refs stole a crucial touchdown from the Jets with a baffling fumble ruling | For The Win
After that terrible call from the replay booth I’m not sure anymore what constitutes a fumble. And the Jets have officially moved on from “Buttfumble” to “Whatfumble.”I don't see any link for the video in the article, but that's okay. I was just going by what I was hearing after the game and on the news. When I watched it live and saw the angles that they replayed, I was really on the fence depending on what angle it was. I guess the officials that overturned the TD saw it as he went out of bounds while juggling the ball before he hit the pylon. I thought the ruling on the field of a TD should have stood, with the replays looking like they did to me. It was a weird call.

I missed that game because the Redskins game was on at the same time. I haven't had any opportunities to see what happened. Can someone shed some light on this for me?
It was ruled a TD on the field, but was ruled a fumble and touch-back by the replay crew and the ball was just given over to the Patriots on the 20 yard line. But the refs had two other terrible calls against the Jets that game. There was a helmet-to-helmet hit by McCourty on Anderson along the sideline. A ref initially threw the flag for it. Then another ref (probably a friend of Belichick or Brady) claimed McCourty hit Anderson in the chest. The replay clearly showed it was a helmet-to-helmet hit... but too bad for the Jets. Then the Jets got a pass interference penalty on Adams in the end zone against Gronkowski. There was some hand-fighting down the field, but Gronkowski was the most aggressive of the two and even pushed Adams’ facemask. If there was a foul to be had then it should have been offensive pass interference on Gronkowski. But again the Jets get hit and it put the Patriots at the 1 yard line with an easy score afterwards. Why the refs felt they needed to help the Pats in that game is beyond me. I mean it’s only the lowly Jets playing against last year’s Super Bowl team... Or maybe that's why they did it.

Whatfumble? The Jets will never move on from Buttfumble.
