What happened?!? I didn't turn it on until halftime, then fell asleep, but Giants were up 21-10! :facepalm_smiley:

Broncos/Dolphins game was a good one. I yelled and whooped and hollered and scared poor RJ. :blush: Then he decided that looked like fun and got in on the act with me. ;-D

While I was disappointed (especially since the Dolphins had the early lead), it was a good game. There was plenty of whooping at my house too. AND we covered the spread!

Good weekend for Colorado. Colorado State utterly smashed New Mexico and is now in the top 25 on a couple polls. And of course, there's the Broncos. They're not exactly playing like they're polished and strong, but they got the job done.

I suppose CU and Air Force probably played too. I do know that we meet Air Force next week. And our coach, McElwain, is supposedly on the short list to get hired by Florida. So that's something, I guess.

Somewhere over the rainbow
Pats skinned those cowardly cats today.......

As one more Division leader loses to the Pats
All our former critics rush to offer their "Congrats!"
"Best team in the NFL," most analysts now say.

"Heck... They beat the Lions without fielding Jonas Gray."

Sunday, with a final score of 34 to 9,
(Thanks to the improvement in the Pats' Offensive line
And a brilliant Defense that turned Golden into lead)
I'm afraid New England might let praise go to its head.

Let's not tempt the sports gods now by gloating at our win;
Gloating, just like taunting, is a major sports gods' sin.
We've still got tough games to play before we reach our goal;
One more chance for us to go and win the Super Bowl.

That...is awesome :) My OH will love that, so I shall read it to him when he has an Xbox break ;) I like the Patriots, and not just because the mister's happy when they win, LoL! They always seem to put in a solid season.

Gearing up for the Saints against the Ravens...The Saints are definitely my team, but the Ravens are my next-best - I like their team colours, & the fact that their name is a literary reference. [I only learned of the Cleveland controversy recently; I do like the Browns in their own right too, and am enjoying their good season. Best of luck to them; I hope they cause a shocker! :)]

Saints for the win though ;D

Hope everyone enjoys the Monday night FOOTBAWL! :triumphant:

On another note, did you all see T.Y. Hilton's interview after the Colts game? Made me say Awwww. It is so nice to see a man be so happy about having a new baby. :) :)

Yes, I did. It was touching. I turned to Grandma and said, "After all the domestic abuse stuff that's making headlines, and the suspensions and everything, the NFL front office should send this guy a check for the counterbalancing PR."

It is hard to believe to RG III went South so fast in Washington. Two years ago, he looked great. I hope he can get it together because he is very talented and was a lot of fun to watch a couple of years ago.

The end is near for RG III, Redskins - NFL Nation Blog - ESPN

One thing that has always bothered me some about RGIII is the way he throws his teammates under the bus in his press conferences. He has to learn not to blame other people like that in public. Even if what he says is true, it comes off as very petty. That one flaw is probably what has distanced his teammates from him. I hope he does well wherever he goes next.
