"Cue the duck boats," buy confetti, and strike up the band;
Patriots have just been crowned the best team in the land.
Seahawks made it much too close... They had it on the 1
But, for reasons unbeknownst to me, they didn't run.

When Seattle's Russell Wilson tried to throw a pass
Butler's goal line interception saved New England's a$$.
Vindication for the weeks of listening to crap
Came when Brady took a knee after the final snap.

Ten years since their last parade but this makes number 4
Belichick and Brady won (in case you're keeping score.)
There is joy throughout New England, but there's also snow.
Hope the plows can do their job 'cause we intend to go.

Ok Ms. Mod, what'd you think of the Pats 4th super bowl win last night?
I'm ashamed to have to confess that I did not watch the game. I knew I would be a wreck and offered to go in the bedroom and read while my partner watched it but he passed, too, so didn't find out until Monday morning that they had won. We'd turned the channel just to catch the score at one point in the third quarter when the score was 24-14 Seahawks so I'm thrilled for the team as I'd really expected to find out that it was the Seahawks who'd won. I've watched the highlights but, of course after the fact, wish I could have controlled my emotions enough to watch the entire game.

It sure was--especially if you had seen it live! Still not bad in the replays, though. And I thank Pete Carroll for making that decision and Russell Wilson for not disagreeing with it. It made perfect sense to me that they wouldn't go with the run on that play when that's what everyone would have been expecting and had it not been for the alertness of Malcolm Butler to not fall for the deception of the intended receiver and intercept, they would have won. A definite woulda, shoulda, coulda moment for the history books.

A very heads up play from Butler, hitting the route just at the right moment, no pass interference, just jumped the route at the perfect moment.

The Jets have traded with the Bears to get Brandon Marshall in order to add to the receiving core of Percy Harvin and Eric Decker. But being the Jets, I’m expecting them to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, and trade away their draft pick so someone else can acquire Marcus Mariota. :(

I used to think Ndamukong Suh was the dirtiest player in the NFL. I just read that he is signing with the Dolphins. I guess now I think he is just misunderstood. ;-D

Woo-hoo!

 That made me giggle.

Me too! And I promptly called and passed it on to my hubby who has been griping about it since he read it yesterday.
