Hey guys!!! Here I am again after a long break from any discussion boards. Just want to tell you that my beautiful mom is going the celebrate her 90th birthday next september, and family and I are preparing a good party for her. She's such a wonderful person, recovering so well from an open heart surgery. We are all so proud of her.
Just to tell you also that I have finished writing my second novel, and gave it my best shot. There is also an element of supernatural in it, and I put a little bit of my own childhood expériences in it. Here is a little hint on what it will be about.
Hoping you are all doing well. I might take the time to come back a few times in here, since I won't be busy writing and stuff, but I wish you all a marvelous summer. xxx

A very happy birthday to your mom! May she have many more.

Congratulations with the book news. We may not have had the Self-Promotion area when you were last here, but that's where all references to your book should go from now on.

I think I hear a bicycle whooshing down that covered bridge right now - have you read "NOS4A2" yet?

First time I hear about it. I have to say I read mostly in french. Sounds like some bridge story I guess. ;)
It is by Stephen King's son Joe Hill and there is mention of a magical covered bridge, so it skates around the edge of reality and fantasy, yet has quite a bit of humour in it as well.

Perhaps do not read it until after you have finished your own book, so it will not influence you in any way.

But I do highly recommend this book. It was the first and (so far) only book of his I have read and I enjoyed it very much!

Thank you Neesy. I have finished writing my book 2 week ago. It's now at the correction stade. So I will check for sure on Joe's story, as I love covered bridge. But like I said before, will wait for french version.:inspect:
