Here, there and everywhere.
I finally got to watch this series, thanks to Netflix. I was completely blown away by all of it - every character, every scene, every song. I binge watched it once, and then again, and then got some of my high school friends to watch (we were freshmen in 1979-1980). I'm probably going to order the DVD.

There's so much I want to discuss about this series, so if any of you are fans and need to dissect each episode second-by-second, you will find in me a very willing partner!

Also, and this is very important:

I graduated in 1979 (which was fairly close to the setting of the show) and I thought this show captured my high school experience pretty well.

One of my favorite moments was when Martin Starr got locked in the closet with the hot girl during the spin the bottle game.
....I also matriculated in '79, and most of my friends were "outcasts" and I was probably both a freak and a geek....some of that luster still hasn't worn away....

I had equal amounts of friends from both sides. I did gravitate more towards the freaks after I got my driver's license but still had my geeky friends too. That driver's license is really a life changing event. ;-D I always seemed to manage to not get too caught up in the cliques. I have never been much of a joiner of groups or clubs (I choose my groups very carefully as my presence here indicates ;-D) so maybe that personality trait is how I did that.

Thanks for the recommendation! How many seasons are there? Season one is on Netflix, correct?

There is only one season. Maybe 18-19 episodes. Another great one season show you should check out is Undeclared. It's almost the freshman college version of Freaks and Geeks. I think Judd Apatow created both shows. They were on the air a couple years apart.

Also, another very funny college show is called Fresh Meat (I think it's on netflix). It's British.

Thank you so much. I'll check them out.

Have a great and safe holiday weekend, sir.
