So, what did you eat today? I've been neglecting my health in terrible way, and yet, I keep losing weight - hooray! I have been back the Y this week, so I'm getting better, and I'm down to 4 smokes a day, but still, I know....

For breakfast - which had to be foraged from the choir room: a coffee cup full of snap pea crisps
images

For lunch: about 6 cocoa powder dusted truffles

And for dinner, even though it's no cook Friday, I had lazy girl's version of chicken and waffles: 2 frozen waffles with butter and cinnamon and sugar, and 6 microwaved chicken nuggets - all drizzled with honey.

The kids got their usual: Popeye's for the boy, Little Cesar's for the girl.
The Ogre made himself a frozen pizza.

I think the dogs ate better than anyone: mackerel, boiled eggs and toast - not tasty, but healthy.

I used a friend's baked chicken recipe. I had a baked potato and some greens and corn with it. It was cool because I never cook my own balanced meal. My friend encouraged me to do it. I've felt better than usual all day.

The receptionist in my doctor's office was sipping this horrid looking concoction and said it made her feel so good every day that she never skips it. I was a bit off at the time so I can't totally remember exactly what's in it - seems like she pureed carrots and spinach - this was about 1/5 of the cup, and then added some kind of juice and then distilled water. Nectar of the Gods she said. Perhaps there's something to healthy eating. I used to be good about it. All that's kind of gotten away from me. I bought pop tarts at the grocery store yesterday. I haven't bought pop tarts in ages.

Breakfast burrito: 2 md eggs, 3 sauteed mushrooms, about 1tbs green bell pepper and a little cheese & salsa on a flour tortilla

forgot lunch, but I did have a bite of LilMan's mac & cheese :p

Dinner pizza: homemade wheat/white crust, homemade sauce, pepperoni, chopped green olives, and sautéed mushrooms (I kinda sorta like those things--lol), and mozzarella

Might make popcorn with light butter, nutritional yeast, and chili-lime seasoning in a minute--I found Logan's Run DVD at the library and I want to watch it!

You guys are making me hungry. Kurben those cheese nugget things look delicious, I bet they go nicely with a glass of wine.
They were good! Hadn't tried them before. But this green, rather strong chili, is in there together with the cheese and lend a spicy taste to the cheese. And now you mentionen it.... They probably would go well with a glass of wine. Spanish Rioja i think?

A Chinese restaurant that promoted "Asian food" and sushi in a big way. We elected the $12.95 "all you can eat sushi" choice, figuring we'd get the tasty morsels we were looking for at a nominally expected price (sushi makes for an expensive lunch).

What came out had no bearing to what we ordered and was enough to feed an Irish family of seven, if they would even eat the stuff, and they wouldn't. Nothing raw that we could tell. Nothing terribly tasty either. We kept waiting for the stuff we actually ordered to come out, then as our gullets backed up, begged them to stop bringing us food.

After a full afternoon and early evening of work, we stopped for supper in the same neighborhood on the way back, but across the street at a "sports bar and grill." I had a buffalo chicken salad, no dressing, which was really fairly tasty. My colleague had a hamburger, and he approved of it.

I need to hit the elliptical. Like, for three or so hours.
