I love warm corn tortillas. Flour tortillas, too. Double decker would fix my dilemma. Have you ever tried the freshly baked flour tortillas in Wal-Mart bakery?

Hey Doc Creed !

No, I have not. Are they goodie-roonie? Will eating one flour tortilla from Wal-Mart add to my thighs and hips? (I always insist on eating two of everything. Don't want un-even thighs.)

Lol...
I haven't tried them. I saw someone on YouTube recommend them while demonstrating a recipe. I usually buy the (close your ears) cheap bag of Ortega tortillas on the ethnic food aisle. Good but not great.

Siggy says they're no good if they don't have lard in 'em!! ;-D

Yes, darling morgan .

Lard. Big difference!

I may have posted this story before but bare with me. :biggrin2:

In my graduate program I had a Ph.D professor who was a vegetarian. A most wonderful, intelligent and kind woman. I would bring in pan dulce in the morning to munch on. She loved the pan dulce until... I messed up. Pan dulce is made with lard and I told her. I can still remember the look on her face. No more pan dulce for her.

The way we see barbacoa (there are a gazillion types) it's beef cheeks. Moist and very tender. Wonderfully delicious. We also have barbacoa that is cabrito. (baby goat) In my culture, barbacoa is Sunday morning food. Catholics go to Sunday mass sans breakfast to receive the Host and we get home and throw a mighty munch on the barbacoa. Traditionally, barbacoa is in a corn tortilla but Tex-Mex you have it in a flour tortilla. We, being open minded and flexible, put a corn tortilla in a flour tortilla (double-Decker) and stuff it with the meat and all the fixings.
...outstanding!....thank you....

Lard - pig fat?

I understand some Mennonite cook books recommend using this in cookies - hmmmm - personally I prefer butter but to each his own!

Who has tomorrow, Friday, off? I do. (Yay!)

Anyone have Monday off? I work but no students. (Yay!)
I'm working evenings this long weekend 4:30 to 11 shift

But - I do get Saturday off after all, as I reminded the boss about the tickets I bought to go see Brian Wilson on Saturday (Long before I started my new job).

Good thing I had sent her an email and she had agreed I was able to go (she had originally scheduled me for a day shift that day then later switched it to nights!)

Concert is at 8 p.m. I think

He starts in Calgary on April 13th and comes to Winnipeg on April 15th

Hope he is having a good night and is not too tired!

Hey.

I'm techno stoopid and not mechanically inclined. =D

I'm pretty sure there's something stuck under my space-bar key. :apologetic:If I strike it with myright thumbit doesn't work. I either have to hit it in a different part or strike it harder. :blue:

I googled it and got this. Doesthis look right?

Something stuck under keyboard key. How to fix. | Inside my laptop

I shudder to tryand lift the keyup and snap something but it's driving me :bat::bat::bat:.

:shame:
