I think I laughed most at Roland. His inabilaty to grasp some of Eddie's ways and mannorisms, and his almost autistic stubborn ways. The way he gets pissed off when Eddie is acting stupid, and his bluntness. When he is getting a sandwich for Eddie, Eddie asks if he got mayo on it, Roland says
yes, I don't know how you can eat that, it looks like come
- it paints a rather disgusting picture but it's funny because you read it in Rolands typical blunt mannor.

Opening line in the shining - Jack thought to himself "officious little pr*ck"

It's weird, I can remember laughing quite a bit while reading various King books, but can't remember too many specifics.

:hmm:In Christine, when the corpse/ghost of the previous owner told Arnie to "...warm this b**ch up!” I always thought it was strangely funny that a ghost would feel too cold, and it also made him sound refreshingly (if a corpse can be called that) human to say it like that. For me, that gave some comic relief to the otherwise scary mental picture.

I realize I have a strange sense of humor:face:, but that scene has always stuck with me, since I first read the book, many years ago.

though rather sad and unpleasant, really...the "Squeeze my weenie, Deenie." scene from Doctor Sleep was pretty damn funny. Doctor Sleep had quite a few chuckles in it. a book with that much gravity HAS to have a little bit of humor in it. Casey was also a pretty funny guy. ;;D
