Just down the road is a town called New Glarus. They have a nice brewery. Here are some of their ales:
(Below the picture I have posted descriptions of each, for your reading pleasure. You're welcome.)

Dancing Man Wheat If you dream of wheat this brew will get your toes tapping. Lick the foam from your mouth and admit sometimes you just gotta get up and dance.
Moon Man A session beer with a bright bold blend of five hops that flirt obligingly with the smooth malty backside.
Spotted Cow Expect this ale to be fun, fruity and satisfying. You know you're in Wisconsin when you see the Spotted Cow
Stone Soup This beer is a living testament to the value of many working together to create something bigger than the individual parts. Moving a mountain begins with a single stone
Totally Naked Pure and crisp, this is a beer with nothing to hide. Kick back, relax and enjoy the simple unadorned flavor.
Fat Squirrel 100% Wisconsin malt of six different varieties impart the natural toasted color. Clean hazelnut notes result from these carefully chosen barley malts.
Crack'd Wheat Do not waste time attempting to box this brew into some esoteric guide o'style. This is Dan's bold creation...

In case anyone has not guessed yet, I own a book called "The Beer Book" printed in 2008. It was actually a gift for my hubby but he has never really shown a great interest in reading it. By the way 19T, the story of the New Glarus Brewing company is described as "an amazing success story" given that New Glarus does not ship its beers outside of Wisconsin.

LOL, I discovered that beer at a restaurant while vacationing over the summer in Connecticut, New England. ;)

Cheers was great! The writing and acting was superb. Norm and Cliff – what great characters.

Did you ever watch the movies House and House II? Fun viewing with a King-ish type feel, and some whimsical moments. In the first one, George Wendt played his character much lot like Norm of Cheers. And House II had John Ratzenberger with a small part played remarkably like Cliff of Cheers.

We have a local brewery that was started by a couple of hubby's buddies at work. I will have to pay closer attention to all the names the next time we're in there.

Hubby's favorite is called Locomotive Brown. I think it's supposed to be a nod to the coal trains but I think it's kind of a funny name.

I don't care for the dark beers, so my favorite from there is called Amber Avenue. I like that name, but it's not silly. :)

No - the only House I ever watched had that English dude who used to play in Jeeves and Wooster (he was Gregory House as in Dr. House)

But I think I will have to go looking for those movies now! Thanks DiO'Bolic! :smile-new:
