Thank you--had forgotten that part. Where was that?

The leader of The Brotherhood Without Banners is Beric Dondarrion. The Hound has a sword fight with him in the cave hideout where The Brotherhood stay. Arya notices all the scars on Beric that look like mortal wounds. The Hound wins the fight by almost splitting Beric in half through the shoulder. Beric's lifeless body is carried out of sight with The Brotherhood's priest in tow. Beric then returns a short time later to Arya's shock. Later she hears about how many times Beric has been "brought back" by The Lord of Light.

Duh, of course, now I remember. He has told the priest a few times that it's too many times as though he really would prefer to be dead.

I forgot all about that, too. I seem to remember that Cat had
ice blue eyes when she came back, am I remembering that wrong? That's why I thought she was an ice walker.

I might have to go on to book 4 after all. I tried reading the Jack Reacher book but my thoughts kept going to Game of Thrones.

;;D

Funny, but I had the same thing happen when reading a certain author's Dark Tower Series. It was all or nothing!!:biggrin-new:

Entirely possible. I don't remember for sure--the part about her doughy(?) white skin from being in the water, and her hair (or at least part of it) turning white, and not being able to speak because of her throat having been cut) are what's sticking in my mind. I got the impression they might have scalped part of her head from what she said during the Red Wedding and then how they described her head/hair when she appeared at the hanging. It might just be that since he's mentioned her blue eyes a number of times before that that didn't stick out while I was reading it.
