Sigmund, there is a reason why I don't take offense to this thread, though I am, at least physically, a woman.

As a younger girl, I had a good amount of guy friends. Back then, they didn't see me as a female. I was "one of the guys". (adulthood ruined that for me.) They often asked me if I knew the "secret" to understanding women, but I could never answer them. I didn't understand women either! (which is why I'm able to make fun of my own kind)

Now, I've come to realize the problem isn't women; it's girls. Girls who never get over the princess complex, walk all over everyone, and expect everything to be handed to them on a silver platter. And because of their "good looks", a lot of decent guys wind up wasting their lives chasing after these girls.

I've met far too many of these girls, and the frustrating thing is, they can range in age from eighteen to eighty. They give real women a bad rap, and can turn even a good man into a dirtbag. (my husband's ex is a great example; he is a wonderful man, but after five years with her he had some serious problems. She tore him apart, and for no good reason.)

Don't get me wrong, guys have their problems too. There's too many idiotic, overgrown boys out there who can't see past the end of their..."nose". But there's plenty of good, honorable men out there too, and I wish they could get the respect they deserve.

I think men and women understand each other perfectly, and what they don't understand, (men's random forays into lunacy, women's obsession with clothes...) they've learned to just accept. Men and women, if they are wise and compassionate, know how to get along with each other.

Boys and girls just need to grow the f up and stop causing headaches for the rest of us.
