I've answered your PM regarding the card but still on the fence about The Stand card not being pre-printed as it was unusual for Steve to use a post card for a response rather than stationery.

If it helps on figuring anything out, it wasn't a postcard in the typical sense ... just a plain white card on both sides. More like an index card with no lines I guess.

I really appreciate the time and thought you guys put into figuring it out for me though. Even if it isn't genuine, it's the thought that counts.

One of these days hopefully I'll get that autograph. Of all the autographs I've ever collected that's the one that would be my most cherished. That mans writing has gotten me through a lifetime of hard times. I've always been able to get totally lost in his worlds and it has always been able to take me away from my problems even if only for a short while at a time. Maybe he'll pass through my neck of the woods someday and do a book signing :)

Thanks everyone for the help :) I'll definitely be hanging around this place for a while. I think I like it here. You all rock!

After checking with my co-worker, had my spider senses confirmed that it was a pre-printed card that was sent out after The Stand was reissued in 1990. It was his handwriting and signature that we had professionally printed on the index card stock so we could just add the address and mail out like a postcard.
