That's sad, girl! Yes, break the habit. I love seeing the little kids in their costumes. I think king family fan had the scariest clown I've ever seen in my life a couple years ago. Do you still have that picture Linda? I'd love to be scared all over again.

Do you mean her? (I posted a pic on Halloween night when we moved to the latest version of the board)

She was wearing silver earrings and was a nice young girl who allowed me to take her picture at the front door with my phone - it's a bit blurry.

(or maybe you mean Linda's Pennywise that she puts up at Halloween?)

I have been living rural. No kids. But always bought some just in case.

But before, when had the house, lordy - people would drive the kids to neighborhood. Stop at every drive way. We had to work for our candy.

I would always get stuck with the leftover MaryJanes. cause nobody likes em.
Mary jane? Did you live in Colorado? :a28::confused::icon_eek:

We get a good few. I love the little ones. I get mini bags of jellies and lollypops. Whats left doesn't las long.
Do you make them do a something for their treat? My friend in Naas says that's the norm there, and I know the little Irishman who lived down the street from my mom surprised my kids by telling them they had to do a trick for their treat--lol.

I lost most of my holiday spirit over the last couple of years and quit giving out treats. I don't think where I'm living right now is a good place for kids to Trick or Treat. It's a really busy street. I figure if I bought candy no one would show up and I'd be shopping for new pants a month later...Maybe if I can find a decent place to live I'll go back to giving out treats. :) When I did buy candy to give away, it was always good stuff like little chocolate candy bars. No peanut butter kisses and the like.

I don't usually have many trick or treaters. Last year, I had one and two years before that, I had three.
I always buy a few full sized candy bars to give out, and end up eating them while watching scary movies.

Try taking down the Young Children Will Be Eaten sign at the foot of your driveway and you might get a few more....

I don't, but some of the neighbours do. I remember when my son was young enough for trick or treat he used to carry a small box of mini bangers. You throw them on the ground and you get a small bang in case he was asked for a trick.
