When I was growing up in Vegas, Glen was often playing on "the Strip." He was a big draw. Now, I'm not a big country fan but a beautiful ballad is a beautiful ballad and I found myself drawn to "Galveston." Still have the 45.

Glen was quite the guitarist, too. Here he is playing with a true god of the stringed instrument, Roy Clark (who I was lucky to see a few times at the Frontier Hotel showroom):

Cool! I never knew that he did so much Studio work with a guitar on albums that needed fill work.. And that he actually filled in for one of the Beach Boys both with a guitar and his voice for some concerts..

He did a lot of studio work as a member of the Wrecking Crew. He played on the Beach Boys' Pet Sounds album. He also did some of the guitar for The Monkees. He was a brilliant guitarist.
