Just want to thank GNTLGNT publically for his wise advice on handling public speaking. Had my first book launch today and his advice helped me immensely. It was a small gathering but still nerve-wracking for me & I really wasn't sure what to say, he suggested I be myself and talk about how the book came into being.

I think it went well and had a few sales. Onwards & upwards :victorious:

So thanks again GNTLGNT :star:

...Baggy, I thank you for the recognition-but it wasn't necessary...just my way of paying it forward...I'm very pleased and proud of you and for you...I've been in the business of communication for 36 years and counting-while still believing with all my heart, that if you AREN'T nervous before appearing in front of an intimate or huge crowd, you don't care about your craft anymore...and when you become complacent, it's time to find the stage door....the only thing any right thinking folk want from their presenter or host, is honesty and to be who they are-no public vs private masks...may your career continue to flourish, now that you have found your voice...

Baggy, that's excellent to hear, glad you got great advice. What type of writing do you do? And can you say what markets you have been published in?

My published work is a collection of short stories in the paranormal/crime genre (see above) Currently I'm working on a novel that I would classify as speculative fiction, it contains post-apocalyptic, fantasy & steam-punk elements.
