Haha! Thanks! Can't use that, though, it gives me awful headaches. I use a natural tear kind. Lots more expensive, but worth it, for no headaches!
Headaches? Wow, I never heard of that, CAT. Do you know why? Man, I'd be lost without my Visine....

I don't know why! It is listed as a possible side effect, though. I am just one of the lucky ones, I guess.Headaches? Wow, I never heard of that, CAT. Do you know why? Man, I'd be lost without my Visine....
Oh, they are awful. Lasted for days, and I finally figured out that the Visine was the only thing new in my routine. I wanted to just take my brain out of my head before it exploded. Terrible headaches.I Googled it. Apparently it occurs quite often!
Did you use them more often than prescribed?Oh, they are awful. Lasted for days, and I finally figured out that the Visine was the only thing new in my routine. I wanted to just take my brain out of my head before it exploded. Terrible headaches.
I didn't mean to sound like I was complaining, say sorry. Thoughts and prayers to every person fighting the fires and everyone in the path of them. Just wanted to use the smoke comparison as an indication to how bad the fires are up in Canada, for us to be getting smoke down here!

I was just using the over the counter kind and usually just in the mornings. My eyes are always dry with the thyroid problems (enough so that I cannot wear contacts anymore) and my eye dr said any over the counter drop would be ok for me to use. It didn't take long for the headaches to start.Did you use them more often than prescribed?
Dry eyes can be helped by taking Omega 3s.I was just using the over the counter kind and usually just in the mornings. I use one called Soothe, by Bausch and Lomb now. Have for a couple years, with no side effects.
Thank you! I will look into that. Does it help enough that I could get back to wearing contacts? I miss my contacts. Hate my glasses.Dry eyes can be helped by taking Omega 3s.
When needed I use Artificial Tears, or a generic equivalent. I've used Visine (in the 60s, mostly ) and have never had the headache problems, but headache side effects are definitely reported by Visine users.Dry eyes can be helped by taking Omega 3s.
My eye doctor is the one who told me about it because i was having the same issue. My eyes are so dry, I couldn't get the contact to stick on my eyeball. I would have to moisturize it first.Thank you! I will look into that. Does it help enough that I could get back to wearing contacts? I miss my contacts. Hate my glasses.
Wow, thank you so much. I will definitely look into it.My eye doctor is the one who told me about it because i was having the same issue. My eyes are so dry, I couldn't get the contact to stick on my eyeball. I would have to moisturize it first.
Not sure it works, just got this information here in the near past, but I am hoping over time it will help.
And, it's also good for your heart!Wow, thank you so much. I will definitely look into it.

I'm the one who derailed the thread! But I need to thank you, too, because if we hadn't been talking about my eyes, I wouldn't have found out about the Omega 3s from DJ! So thank you!I didn't think you were at all, CAT.
I won't derail this thread anymore with this, but I did see MIGRAINES mentioned quite a few times.......
And I'll add my wishes for the firefighters and citizens too!
