Whole developments gone. Over 100 missing persons calls are logged in. Some had no time to flee. Rain, they need steady, calm rains.

A good friend of mine is near the fires, but won't leave because she has two big dogs who get nervous traveling.
Oh no, this is terrifying... sometimes you just have to bundle them into a vehicle and deal with their trauma of that later on.
Prayers for protection. Can your friend ask a vet for some tranquil meds? Rescue remedy(all natural)
Thanks, FlakeNoir and Spideyman - she just won't. She's waiting until the last possible minute to leave, but it's so bad that her eyes are burning from the smoke while inside her house. Plus, she's surrounded by water on three sides, so thinks she's protected, but embers can fly. Everyone's trying to talk her into leaving.
Maybe to rationalize with her, if her eyes are burning, what is it doing to her dogs! Is there anyone who can help her? Large dog crates? One ember is all it takes. Prayers for her and the dogs safety. Please keep us posted.
