My grandma will be in the hospital the rest of the week. Drs are saying mild heart attack, as her blood enzymes were higher yesterday. Echo showed no damage, but they tried to get her up for a walk yesterday, and her heart rate almost immediately shot up to 198, so her heart is definitely under stress. It is slightly erratic even when resting, but still within normal ranges. They seem more concerned about that than the pneumonia now, but say she is in no immediate danger.

Her care after getting released is up in the air too. My mom and aunt and uncle are there as much as possible and they all take turns staying with her at night. They have a nurse come in too, but she is having a surgery soon and will be unavailable, and even so, my grandma is alone for most of every morning. No one thinks that is good enough anymore, so I don't know what will happen when she is released from the hospital.

What a horrible news we got here in Finland yesterday. Somewhere in East Finland a mom and three kids died in a car accident on Sunday. The father of the two of the kids had gone earlier to work with a bus, when mom with three kids followed the bus and stopped the bus driver so the mom could had a little conversation with the dad, they started to arguing about something in the bus and the bus driver had to tell the mom that she must leave the bus. Then the mom sat in her car and drove after this bus where her partner was in. At some point she passed the bus and suddenly she turned the car front of the bus. Mom and three kids aged 1 and 2 and 6 years old died in the accident. The oldest kid was from her former relationship. And dad in the bus had to see when 2 of his kid and his partner died before his eyes. The said in the newspaper that she loves children but was jealous, but what I can't understand is why she took her children in the car, if she decided to do something stupid like this.

How senseless. Why do people choose to involve others in their schemes of jealousy, hatred, revenge. Fine, take yourself out, leave innocents out of it.

May those children rest in peace. How cruel of the mom to cause their deaths over her uncontrolled emotions. Thoughts are with the dad and family.

I've never been able to understand that mentality. We hear about it far too often here in custody dispute situations where one partner will kill the children (and usually themselves) because if they can't have custody, they won't let the other parent have it either.

For a long time I've believed that it makes sense for "us" not to be able to understand the psychotic mind. I believe that you can't reason with unreasonable people.

The parents was divorcing and they had had a dispute. I also read that the mom and her ex partner (who was the dad to this oldest
kid) had been in the court earlier this year about the custody. So now they try to figure it out why she did this.

Very sad. And not just for that family--I think about the poor bus driver and all the other passengers on the bus who witnessed it.

Yes they are all in deep shock after this and especially the dad. He needed mental care in the hospital after the accident. No one else
injured, the poor bus driver got some minor injuries but nothing serious.

My grandma is home. She refused rehab and restorative care. I haven't had a chance to call her or my mom yet, but I think there is a battle of wills going on. Prayers for guidance are needed.
