We know, (((girl))).... ♥It's the second time I've "said" this today, but words are hard right now. The silence is deafening and the pain is all consuming.

My vet sent this to me in a card after... it was a long time before I could read it. It's beautiful and true... but this (grieving) is all something that has to happen in its own time--don't expect too much from yourself right away Morgan, be kind and patient with yourself.
(((((morgan))))) My dog had bladder cancer, too, and I had to have him put to sleep. It's always as hard as can be. My thoughts and prayers are with you.Sadie had an ultrasound at 10 a.m. this morning. It showed there was a huge tumor that was taking up over 50 percent of her bladder and was almost entirely blocking the area where urine is released. The vet said that at any moment it could be blocked completely and she would no longer be able to urinate. I had to do the unthinkable-I had to make the decision to put her to sleep. The vet said there was nothing else that could be done. I held her and told her I loved her and she died in my arms. Sadie crossed over at about 11:10 a.m. My heart is broken and I feel completely empty and lost at the same time. I don't know how to go on. I just want to forget. I don't know how to get through this or what I'm supposed to do now.
I meant to update about my grandma the other day and forgot.
Talked with her on Monday, it was her 88th birthday. She sounded soooo much better! Like she hasn't sounded in a very long time. She even laughed!
I haven't been able to talk to my mom yet to confirm what I think, but my grandma was mad at my mom, aunt and uncle when she was in the hospital because they gave the dr the go ahead to give her insulin. Her diabetes has generally been controlled by diet and she has always said she never wanted insulin. But, I suspect the insulin has helped her to feel better. It did my heart good to hear her sounding so much like herself. I did not ask her if she was still receiving insulin, though. Thought that might be a question better suited for my mom.
The question of care has been relieved somewhat, too. The lady who comes in has already had her surgery and is back to coming over. So that is good, too!
Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers.
