This was filmed here in Utah! That building on the front is Saltair. Right by the Great Salt Lake. I watched it a while back and it was pretty creepy for an old movie.

John Carpenter's Halloween is a classic now, but it didn't have that status when it came out. Grandma and I went to see it with our expectations pretty low, and when it was done, we were going, "Well, doggone. That was pretty good."

It's more suspense than horror, but there was a little independent movie that came out, The Lookout. It had some actor from That Sixties Show (which I never watched). It was a real sleeper, a movie modestly but carefully done, and it was really quite good.

A horror flick that came out a few years back that I really liked was Drag Me to Hell. I normally don't like horror films, but I loved that one. It went largely unnoticed when it came out and it's probably sitting in those DVD discount bins you see at retail stores.

I've seen most of that one. It's been on TV. It's good.

I must have seen that film about a dozen times by now, and I always end up thinking I've missed something. The whole singularity drive thing makes me a bit , too.

I recently watched Below on Netflix, mainly because it had a semi-decent cast and was rated at a nudge over 4/5. It's all a bit obvious and it wasn't all that scary, IMO, but I've seen worse. A lot worse. (In both senses.)

This is one of my all time favorite movies and one of those movies that I can watch no matter when it is on or at any point, no matter where I come in. Love it! And, it has quite an all-star cast!
