I think also some men just want things "to themselves" - they want to think there is something they like women don't....

There are a few things like this, but I'll be quiet cause I can tell if I say something... anyway... onto Good Fellas!
Not to be reactionary, women do this, as well. It's of course normal and not unhealthy and happens in every human society across the globe; point being, it's not a phenomenon restricted to the mythical, aberrant scapegoat American.

Have to say I don't like Goodfellas (movie or pizza! :D). It's weird, because I feel like I should. It's got actors in it that I like and they give generally good performances, and Joe Pesci's little speech is brilliant (moreso for being largely improvised, iirc?). But something about it just leaves me cold. Same with Reservoir Dogs.
Maybe the old "Stick yer hands up, yer bum" (comma optional ;)) stuff just isn't my cuppa.
(As a guy...does this make me the Minority Report? :smile2:)

I think like anything, there are exceptions.... and I think it all goes to our dealings with the opposite sex throughout our lives and how we process those experiences... I don't feel a need to have "girl stuff" just between me and my "girlfriends", never have. But there are a lot of stereotypes I really don't fall into - and I'm sure we can all find instances where we feel that we don't fall into them as well...

I don't think men are always at fault or a scapegoat ... I would have made the same comment about women if a woman wrote that ... "Mean really don't get Steel Magnolias" ... that's just silly!
