We had a big doll. Propped up in the corner. He says,, look at that sweet little thing, been good as gold all day.... not bothering anyone.

I'm lucky enough to still have both my maternal grandparents. They had my mum when they were young and my mum did the same. They are in their eighties, but still going strong.

My dad's parents died a long time ago, but both of them lived well into their nineties.

It's funny because my mum's parents have got more and more immature and fun the older they've become. My grandad used to be quite a strict and serious guy, but now he's hilarious!

Once I went to see the Ogre's Nanny in the nursing home and she said "Good God, if you're going to come and see me at least put on some lipstick so I've got something nice to look at".

My college roommate's grandma had a Chihuahua that used to escape out of her front door and she couldn't catch him, so she got one of these

to get him. Oh gosh, I just laughed until tears thinking of her grandma scooping up that little dog in this. It was so stinking funny.

Gotta love 'em.

Oh no - see the net eliminated the chasing part - she just stood on her front porch and reached across the lawn and scooped him up.
I wished there'd been iphones in 1990. But I can still see it in my head and now I can't stop laughing.

This same Grandma had a funny way of serving ice cream. She'd buy the half gallon rectangle boxed ice cream, and then cut it in half and serve you half a box of ice cream. I liked her very much.
