Hello everyone, I'm new to this site but by no means new to Stephen King's work. I had finished reading every book my library had by Edgar Allen Poe and was despondent about not having any more "good" horror stories to read then, I found Skeleton Crew and was thrilled that I found what I considered (and still do) a modern day Edgar Allen Poe. Skeleton Crew is still my favorite however, I read every book I can get my hands on by Mr. King. I will stop babbling at you now. Thanks for taking the time to read my rant.

Hi asoul - GNTLGNT was being facetious - he meant - "What is your astrological sign?" - it was a play on words as at one time way back when this was supposed to be a 'pick-up line' at a bar!

Welcome! Skeleton Crew is a great book to start on. Enjoy the ride! You could check out Lovecraft as well. I also used to like the Alfred Hitchcock anthologies when I was a kid, as they were available in my local library. Also, the librarian lady was very scary so that added to the mix.

Ah, Neesy, I didn't take into account GNTLGNT's question. I was enchanted by the picture of Galaxy and said few words about it. By the way, sometimes the sign of Galaxy means an entrance into subconsciousness. Because Andromeda mentioned hallucinations maybe she would like to talk about subconsciousness also...
