Hello all from the land of The Holy Ghost!
I'm Natalie, a 31 y/o unconventional lit teacher from Israel :) I have returned to King recently and recalled what a smasterful storyteller he is, "the real thing", and a great inspiration.
I am currently fishing for a recommendation on a brilliant short story about a man/woman with an interesting superpower. Carrey is my alltime favorite, a one of a kind tragic master piece, but the story will be read in class (to smart 8th graders) so it has to be no longer than 11 pages or so.
Any recommendation will be highly appreciated!
With great thanks and anticipation,
Natalie

Harrison Bergeron (Kurt Vonnegut) is an interesting take on powers. I remember first reading it in a 7th or 8th grade honors class, and it's stuck with me for many years. Really resonated with me as a middle grader.
