Hi, !
Nice to meet you ^_^
I've had some false starts with King (I picked up Gerald's Game at the age of... Oh, I was about 12 years old, I guess), but the first novel novel novel I loved was IT -- it remains my favourite ever since, although I've read most of SK's books. I'm still to read it in the original, but I'll get to it -- it's already sitting on my bookshelf :)

I hated it then! I leafed through the whole book looking for the werewolf to show up! the cover was very gory so I didn't even suspect it could have been just a dog. What a disappointment! ;-D
I believe, it was a bootlegged edition:

Love this - it's so different from the American cover. Is this Cujo, then? I have it but haven't read it. Saw the movie way back in the 80s. Gerald's Game wasn't one of my favorites, and it was certainly a bit racy for a 12 year old. Have you read any of the Dark Tower books? There's lots of artistic inspiration in them. I see Tower stuff in everything now and think "That's not a coincidence, that's Ka."

Hey, guys!
My name is Serhiy Krykun, and... well, not to post it twice, I'll just leave the link here -- my introduction thread was moved to that location.
Cheers!
Welcome to the SKMB Serhiy Krykun!

I got a "false start" too when I first joined up - I just started posting away and did not actually introduce myself properly (ignorant Canuck that I am!)

lol Neesy  I didn't introduce myself either. I didn't figure anyone would care if I was here or not... I jumped in on a UTD thread :)

Me either - I think it was something about our new Pope that stirred me up while I was lurking about and I had to get in on the conversation. And then the regular crew sent out the welcome wagon and I could feel the love. It's a great message board, the SKMB.
