One year, I put on jeans, my son's letter jacket, put a baseball cap on backwards, and sunglasses (not backwards).

I guess I'm a Halloween Humbug. I live alone and I don't like people coming to the door even when I need them to, such as to fix something that I can't. If I'm not scheduled to work this Halloween, which would mean my being absent all night anyway, I'll plan to be away from home. All the lights will be off.

If there was someone living with me who wanted to celebrate Halloween my attitude would be different, and I'd enjoy it. But the reason would be because the person I'd be living with would answer the door.

I can't figure out how I love Halloween, but hate trick-or-treaters! So I'm a humbug too!
