Happy Memorial Day! The flag is up and an old fighter pilot who invented several jet fighter techniques still used today is coming to our picnic. As always we’re having another Memorial Day picnic this year and hopefully nobody ends up in the emergency room again (But it was one year’s worth of great fodder).
Setting: 2:00am hospital emergency room waiting area.
Emergency room personnel: “You two have been sitting here for awhile, may we be of assistance?”
My cousin the music executive: “I don’t know yet.”
Her boyfriend the lawyer: “Apparently we just came in to watch TV and enjoy the fish in your aquarium.”
Moral of the story... Jägerbombs should be consumed in moderation.

This is the Punchbowl the National Cemetery in Hawaii. My first Dad's name is inscribed on the third wall left going up. He was shot down over the Sea of Japan.

I'd wondered if there was a picture missing. I'd delete the first post but don't want to have you lose the "likes".
I made it a point to visit it when I was in Hawaii. I was surprised at the small number of visitors when I was there. I remember it gave me a very somber and humble feeling.
I've been able to visit once and it was deserted when we were there. Very, very peaceful. Arlington National can be very noisy what with Ronald Reagan/National Airport a few miles away and all of the intense road traffic going in and out of DC. That is where my second Dad is buried.
