Thunderstorms here in Austin, TX today... Was tempted to set the book down and hold out for the storms tonight, but couldn't go to bed without finishing.

I've just been disturbed by a call of absolutely no importance when I've got 20 pages left. I'm trying to calm down as we speak and then I'll get back to it but I'd add to Spidey's advice to turn your phone off if you can.
I intend to read it Christmas day...in the evening. After the turkey, after the visitors and gift giving stuff....after the cats are fed. Just me and the book. Laying in bed with a cold beer and some chips, maybe. Till I fall off to sleep and Becky gets the house lights lol.
You won't fall asleep.....trust me.
I second that. I've just finished it, it's quarter past 2 in the morning and I can tell you I don't feel like sleeping. At all. It'll be a while before I do I think, if I do.
If you can't sleep... you could come on over to the Prepare for Revival site and share your thoughts.
I also finished it in the night and i just shuddered. It took me three hours to calm down and at least think of sleep (i wasn't very successful in that department that night)

Yay Beverley! Glad you finished it up and liked it. It seems almost everyone(except maybe carrie's younger brother)did a marathon session!
that image of an afterlife was so creepy. One of his creepiest IMHO. "mother" brrrrr! Also the fact the NO ONE had a happy ending made it chilling and a rather nice change. Jamie seeing the door at the end was a fitting finale!
