I grew up in Chicago where they stain the Chicago River with green dye on St. Patrick's Day. Yes, the Irish are like that. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
They also dye the Hillsborough River green here in Tampa. There is a festival along the waterfront at Curtis Hixon park.
Off to my brother's house this evening for corned beef and cabbage. Hopefully he has cleared the snow enough so I have some place to park.

People here are asking why I'm not wearing green. I tell them because I'm Irish (dual US/Ireland citizenship), and we don't do usually do that. It's all the rest of you that do that green thing.
