My kids are supposed to take their teachers a single flower this week. By the end of the week, each teacher has a nice bouquet of different flowers. It is a nice, fun little way to show some appreciation, the kids always love this week, taking flowers in and seeing all the different flowers their classmates bring. :)

This is the week to show your appreciation for all those great teachers that helped you in school.

To Mrs. Lambert in grade school. And Sister Josephine. And Mr. Eckert. Mr. Albert. And the student teacher in English III in summer school. And Mr. Parmentie. And that physics teacher whose name i can't remember - just out of college and got his CO, so he didn't get drafted, which actually wasn't all that impressive to me at the time, but he sure was enthusiastic in his teaching, and some of it I understand to this day. Every time I hear talk about a vector, I think of him.

But more closely, to danie and Beloved Daughter-In-Law who carry the teaching torch today.

Happy Teacher Appreciate Week Danie, hope you have a nice day ma'am. I can't remember the names of all the teachers we have here on the SKMB.

Anyway, Happy Teacher's Appreciation Week to all the teachers (especially my twinner danie :D)

Wow, thanks, you guys!
After almost 28 years of teaching, I am happy to say I still
love it. Every day is different and new...there are so many children out there in need of more than just a science lesson or math skills. They need a smile, a hug, an adult (and their teachers may be the only adults) to listen, really listen, to them when they speak. I feel I've done my job when a kid says, "Mrs. D, I like coming to your class because it's fun and you're so laid back. You're not constantly mad at us and yelling."
They may forget the science I teach them, but I hope they never forget I loved them.
♥♥♥ you guys!
