last sentence "have some irony, it's good for your blood." confuses me.
Is there any irony in what Pete says? and why good for blood?
Irony is related to blood?

I can't remember the context of this passage, but I believe the "irony" is good for your blood part is a play on words because "iron" is good for the blood. :)

I don't recall the exchange. It sounds like the warehouses mentioned were closed down in order to make the City Center, though. The irony would then be that had the City Center which was offering a job fair never been built the people murdered wouldn't have been there because they wouldn't be out of a job. And I think organ's correct that "irony" was being used in relation to blood due to "iron". The statement also reminds of the bloody aftermath of the tragedy.
