I donated a copy of The Waste Lands to another SK Fansite's annual charity fundraiser for The Haven Foundation. It has had a brand new 2 page Full Color Artwork drawn/painted into it by the original illustrator Ned Dameron. I am NOT running the actual auction, but ALL proceeds from it go to The Haven Foundation. We've been holding these annual auctions for around 10 years now, culminating in a total of more than $18,000 just last year for The Haven Foundation!
The new artwork is just plain amazing. It is filled with the Waste Land creatures that Ned has drawn many of, but he is apparently using a new type of paint pen (to him) and this is one of the more vivid remarques that I can recall seeing.
I don't see a cent from this (and in fact spent a decent amount buying the book to donate), but I'm just very thrilled to have owned and held this book in my hands at one time.
