Hi,

I am very new to doing the message boards thing. So I guess I'll start off by saying a little about myself.

I am a big Stephen King fan from books to movies to collaborative work. I am also a painter that is working on getting a fantasy/horror/sci-fi portfolio together.

One of my pieces is of Barlow from Salem's Lot... the movie.

I was curious on what the process was to get permission to sell prints that were created from this movie?

Since I am new to all of this, I want to make sure I do the the right way. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Once I get the ball rolling on the proper steps to do, I would be more than happy to post an image of the painting... if you were interested in seeing it.

Very excited to be part of this community.

Thank you all!

Stephen doesn't own those rights. You would need to go to the people who own the film rights if it is that image that you want to use. Sorry, but I don't know who the contact would be for that.

Hi Ms. Mod.

Thank you very much for getting back to me. I'm trying something else regarding the permission. Once I saw you mentioned that Stephen doesn't own the rights (which is a shame)... I'm thinking maybe the director?

I called the agency the director is part of and have to wait a few hours because I am on the east coast and the branch of his agency is on the west coast.

Hopefully the west coast branch is as nice as the east coast branch was.

Again, thank you for your help in this matter... I really appreciate it.
